Course Description
Introduction to Aide and Home Health Services 2 hours
Interpretation of Medical and Social Needs of People being served5 hours
Personal Care Services and Clinical Practice Hours 20 hours
5 hours Theory + 15 Clinical Practice = 20 hours
Nutrition and Clinical Practice Hours 8 hours
5 hours Theory + 3 hours Clinical Practice = 8 hours
Cleaning and Care Tasks in the Home5 hours
3 hours Theory + 2 hours Clinical Practice = 5 hours
The Clinical practice hours can be completed in the following types of health care facilities: Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health and/or Hospice Agencies, and in Acute Care Hospital settings.The focus of clinical training is on home care and demonstration of skills with patients, by supervision of a Registered Nurse. Students are required to obtain their own clinical site, meet site and Health Career Solutions school requirements, turn proof of clinical training of 20 hours into Health Career Solutions.
